Adrian Rose – Profile

Home is Canada where I’ve lived since my teens in Quebec and as an adult in Ontario. I live West of Toronto in Norfolk County, an agricultural setting that I’ve called home since 2004 and I commute to work as needed. I feel I’ve got the best of both worlds and a balance I couldn’t find anywhere else. I was born in London, UK and my early education was in French. 

In my professional life I’m an Senior Technical Program Manager, I’ve recently been working at Google Cloud Platform and I’m actively looking for a new role, I’m open to relocation to France and the UK.
In addition to my professional responsibilities I also participate in community services, I helped manage an internal program at Google that encouraged Google engineers to create innovative products and in the community with STEM programs such as Code Next that aims to cultivate the next generation of Black, Latinx and Indigenous tech leaders.

I’ve worked in large corporate enterprises, government and agencies and in the private sector. I have experience in program delivery, service delivery & business analysis. Taking ideas and turning them into services and solutions. Working with teams of technical and business resources leading them through design and architecture through to implementation.

I started my IT career as a Helpdesk analyst and have always focused my approach to delivering solutions on the end user experience. I always ask my teams “what can we do to reduce the friction?”. I bring strategic planning, relationship management, operational experience and leadership to my work. I’m ITIL and PMP certified.

In an ongoing quest to stay physically fit and mentally challenged I lift weights, run marathons (OK, Half Marathons), swim, ski, participate in extreme sports like Tough Mudder and I’m an aspiring Triathlete. I’ve also been known to jump out of perfectly good planes. I’m an avid motorcyclist, I travel by bike as often as weather and time permit. I’m a foodie, I love to cook, on weekends you’ll often find me in my kitchen preparing for a diner party. I love bread.

I’m a Montreal Canadiens, West Ham United & SM Caen fan, a path that’s had its ups and downs over the years but I’ll always be loyal to these three clubs.
